how you can go months without talking to someone you were once very close to. Yet, the second they choose to step back in your life you forget about all the time, space and distance. It’s as if you become the you- or rather us- that you were before. Instantly. Maybe it’s because thats all you know how to be with that person. Or maybe you’re not strong enough to stay upset. ...

I can always tell when I’ve met someone that I want to be part of my life for a long time. The person knows just a few too many things about you. And while you might not have the same interests, you share some skewed view of the world with that person. Instead of treating the friendship like glass you get to kick it around like a soccer ball.
